If you love Gmail as an email service but can’t stand the ads, I have a solution for ya. The Google Chrome add-on called Ad-blocker for Gmail removes ads from Gmail quickly and easily.
Blocking Gmail Ads
Start by installing the Chrome add-on. You can do so from the Chrome Web Store, here.
Here’s a before shot with the Ads I normally see before enabling the plugin.
And here we go with the Ad blocker enabled. The only Ad it doesn’t seem to have an effect on is the one at the top. Still, a much more clean interface with just a few clicks.
Do you have a favorite Browser add-on / extension? Please share with our groovy community!

For something rather more comprehensive for customizing Gmail, check out gmelius.com. I haven’t seen a Gmail ad for years.
