If you have hundreds of apps installed on your device, you want an easy way to manage them. Here’s how to view all installed apps on Android.

We all have a bunch of apps installed on our phones and tablets, and sometimes, you want to view all installed apps on Android. Taking an inventory of installed apps gives you an easy way to manage them.

You can get a list of your installed apps on the screen through settings on Android. Viewing the list allows you to see all apps that are currently installed. This option may be preferable to swiping through all apps on the home screen.

So, in this guide, we’ll show you how to pull up a list of the apps you have installed on your Android phone or tablet.

View Installed Apps on Android

You can generate a list of installed apps through settings on your Android device. The process is straightforward using the following steps.

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice and tap Settings (gear icon).
2. Tap on Apps or App Management from the menu that appears.
3. Under the All apps section, you will see the number installed on your phone. Tap All apps to continue.
4. Tap the three-dot menu button in the top right corner of the screen.
5. Select Show system from the menu that appears after tapping the button.
6. Scroll through the complete list of all apps installed on your Android device — they are listed alphabetically on the screen.

In addition to listing your installed apps, you can tap the ones you’ve installed and manage app notifications, permissions, battery settings, data usage, and other advanced settings. From this list, you can also select the app you want and force close the Android app if it’s unresponsive.

List Installed Apps on a Samsung Galaxy

Samsung has its own way of doing things with its proprietary version of Android, but you can view all installed apps on your Galaxy using the following steps.

1. Open Settings on your Samsung phone.
2. Tap Apps from the menu.
3. Tap the menu button next to the Your apps entry.
4. Toggle on the Show system apps switch.
5. Choose how to filter apps, i.e., enabled, all, disabled, name, size, and click OK.

Once you follow the steps, the installed apps on your Samsung Galaxy will be listed on the screen. Like on other Android devices, you can tap an installed app, manage permissions, and more.

Viewing Installed Apps on Android
